Update: Chris Lighty …Ex-Wife Disputes Argument Before his Death
Chris Lighty’s death as of Friday has been ruled a suicide. His ex-wife Veronica Lighty’s friend Norman Downes made a statement on her behalf that she did not fight with him before his death. She is deeply sadden by his passing and is asking for privacy during this difficult time. Downes also stated that he was going through financial problems and was in a lot of pain prior to the incident. Hip Hop Mogul Chris Lighty was found dead this morning in his Bronx,NY apartment. Sources are stating Lighty shot himself after an argument with his estranged wife. Lighty is best known for Hip Hop’s well-respected management team Violator. He has managed acts such as Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Diddy, and Ja Rule. According to reports Lighty was outside his South Riverdale apartment about 11:30 am arguing with his wife before the shooting.
