I had my first student today teaching ESL. She is a lovely 27-year-old woman from Syria who has two beautiful children. When I arrived at her home she greeted me with orange juice in a wine glass and a huge smile. Her darling 2-year-old daughter ran through the house while her son cried for attention. I long for home everyday. You don’t realize how comfortable and safe you feel until you leave. Well now that life has thrown me some lemons I’ve made lemonade. Dubai has been such an experience since I have arrived. I never thought in a million years that this Jersey girl would ever be this far away from home. Review: Beyonce Life is But A Dream
I watched the documentary and I have to say I learned a few things but not very much. Beyoncé was very clever in her explanation on child-birth, the release of her father’s management, and the love her husband. My expectations for the documentary was not if it was going to be a master piece but for it to be a reflection of who she is as a person. In the beginning of the documentary it shows Beyoncé’ being reminiscent over her childhood home in Houston,TX.
